When You Pray, Do You Pray for Others too?

I have read that when we pray for others, we become partners with God. Although He can accomplish all things without us, but He is giving us the privilege to get involved with Him.
I always pray to the Lord Almighty, and I know everyone does. There are times in my prayers that I first mention my family, relatives, and friends who really need my prayers. Then only in the last part, I mention my personal intentions.
Do you believe that when we pray for others, God becomes our partner?

Yes, and in fact, they say that prayers for others is mostly heard by God because it is a selfless prayer having others first before yourself.

All prayers are heard by God. He desires that we lay our need before him regardless if it's for others or for ourselves too. He'll hear it all. He already knows all the situations, but it's when we pray that we relinquish control and give it, those things we're praying about, to God to entrust it in his care. What 'they say' isn't always what 'God says'.

I believe that when we pray, whether it's for others or for ourselves we are in agreement with God as that is what he commands that we do. He instructs us to pray continually, as much as we can throughout our day. In that sense you could say we're partnering with God. I'd say that over God is becoming our partner. Like you said, He's the one that will answer the prayers, he's the one that will take care of things.
When we pray, we're putting our trust in him and not what we can do about the situation.

My prayers always start out with a thank you for the day then praying for others before I pray for anything for myself.

Aside from personal confession and penance, most of my prayers are geared toward the needs of others, because re. my own life and needs, I am content. It's in my vocation to pray the office 4 times a day-and a large portion of that is prayer for others and the needs of others-and a lot of my prayer aside from that is for others. In a lot of situations, that is all I can do for people, and that's what they specifically ask me for...so, I to always keep it in mind.

It could be depending on our beliefs. And it is very nice if we pray for other people more than for ourselves; it shows our compassion and kind hearts for others who needed help.
