My computer is back in action

After moving all the heavier and bulkier items back upstairs, I began reassembling the computer and the peripheral components. In principle this is quite straight forward, albeit rather laborious with a myriad of cables to connect, especially those related to various speakers.
Since the tower goes under the desk itself, I ended up on my hands and knees reconnecting the wires from behind the desk, which did involve a fair amount of contortion at times.
I finally ran a speaker test and each is now connected properly, although I am certainly paying the price for my gymnastic performance.
I feel as though I have been punched in the back by Muhammad Ali, so most of today will be spent resting.

@Marilynda1225 Yes, they are quite expensive, but well worth the price.

Heat, ice, ibuprofen, rest. Back pain sucks. I am sure that nobody has to tell you to take it easy until it feels better.

@ElusiveButterfly That would not be a sensible approach.

Perhaps you should have taken a couple of pain meds before doing this. I used to when going jogging or I would be pretty sore. Helped a lot.

I hate moving my computer at any time through similar desk crawling activity and wire chasing

I can't crawl under anything anymore so I have to rely on my agile grandsons to hook up anything computer related that requires going under the desk. I miss the days when I could do all that myself

Ouch. I know the feeling all too well. When we do some physical activity our bodies are not used to doing, they pay us back with pain and stiffness. Try a very mild stretch and a warm soak. These might help. Good luck.

@Asylum This will probably be the case, but sometimes massages, mild stretches and warm baths speed up the process.

My computer is the easy thing to move. I pick up the laptop and carry it where ever it is needed. Now the TV and everything that goes with it is another story. When we had everything disconnected. (We bought a new TV) I invited my daughter over to get everything hooked up properly. Then we had to get creative. To plug in the VCR, we had two 3' cables and needed a 6'. Then we discovered that the power bar/surge protector could be used as a coupler. We copied the back of the power bar so my husband could install the necessary plugs to hang it on the wall. Now we have an octopus.
The photo is upside down.
