Lemon Tea Bread cheered me up

Yesterday was not a good day. I was still coughing like crazy, runny nose, congestion and all over 'bla' feeling. (Today I am a little better.) I was scanning through Facebook looking for anything to keep my brain occupied. Unfortunately, what caught my eye was a cake! They call it Lemon Tea Bread.
Since I had no milk in the house I sent my husband to the store and after lunch yesterday we made it. It is baked in a loaf pan, but it's not a heavy pound cake, as a matter of fact it is very light. It has no oil but it does use a stick of butter. Since I can't give you the recipe I will suggest if you are interested in a very easy from scratch cake then search on Facebook for "Lemon Tea Bread".
Now I think I'll go get myself another slice! Enjoy

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, I have found the recipe, it sounds very easy. I will also use the hand mixer.

Did you find the recipe? Good luck, it's really easy to make. We used the hand mixer didn't even drag out the big one.

@AbbyGreenhill I like that it's not a heavy cake, too. I like my spice breads, but I find a lot of lemon confections are heavy - like pound cake, as you said. I'll have to look this one up!

I only had two lemons so I didn't have enough zest - I think 4 lemons would do it.

@Asylum I have bronchitis - for the last week - I take two steps and start coughing. I say two words and cough...it hasn't been fun.
