When Your Page Dies While Making a Comment, Don't Assume it Disappeared

There are times when I'm in the middle of leaving a comment on another member's discussion and the shockwave flash player dies, or something causes the page to quit loading. This happens the most often with the flash player. Some days are worse than others. Some days, like yesterday there are no problems at all while other days it's constant.
Once in a while I recognize the signs and I'll right click on copy so I can save what I've already typed in. Other times it won't even allow that. Today when it happened again, I did use the print screen function and saved it to my paint program to then save on my computer. The page dies when I was trying to submit my comment.
I went back to the page I started on and pushed the respond button only to realize that my comment did go through after all. That was a surprise, and I almost put the same comment there twice.
So, for anyone else that finds their computer freezes up on it's own, or from the shockwave flash player, check the discussion first before re-submitting that same comment. You may find that somehow it did submit even though it looked like it was stuck.

I've tried that one before too, but it doesn't always work. I think it depends on what it is that causes it to disappear in the first place. On bubblews, if something went missing, I could usually find it by hitting the back arrow on the browser, and my comment or post would still be sitting there. But, because here it provides it's own box over whatever page you're on, it works sometime, but not always. I've done it successfully and other times no matter how much I try it just isn't there any longer.

So, in the future you may want to double check first before rewriting that same comment or one like it. I've even had a few times when I've looked on the page and not found it and then after rewriting it, both the new one and the old one are there after all.
