Have you been to Maldives?

I applied as engineer in Maldives. After our project in Amanpulo Palawan, I thought of Maldives as the next beach destination where I want to work and travel. At first, the excitement of going in Maldives is so high because I can see how beautiful each islands are. Like what I always post here, I work to travel and travel to work. Most of the time, I accept a job offer just because I wanted to explore the place. I don't know more about Maldives. I just searched forums and discussions about how is the life there and how is working in that island? I'm equally excited and paranoid. Paranoid, in the sense that I have to leave my comfort zone again, though that sounds normal to me, but in every place I go, I can still feel the pressure and the fear inside me. So I hope, there are people here who used to work or now living and/or planning to go to Maldives, please share your ideas.
