Bragging After Helping / myLot

I'm starting to become really annoyed with most of the things I see on Facebook. Just now, I saw someone posted about how he helped a little boy who's asking money for food. Okay, so I admire him for helping and giving what the boy needs. But taking picture of the boy with what you gave, and then posted it on social media to show everyone that you're such a good samaritan, I consider it as form of bragging already. There are a lot of ways to help, and there are so many instances that we can help others, but it doesn't necessarily require that we broadcat it to the whole nation. For what?

It's off putting to me too when I see photos of people handing out money or food to the less fortunate.. It's called false generosity ..

@LdeL0318 .. It's annoying to me when there are natural calamities and especially election time over there in the Philippines, when politicians and celebrities are shown to hand out food parcels and money . It makes it looks like as if the goods are from them ...

Same here. We don't have to let others know what we are doing. It's enough that we helped. Maybe they are already happy with it by letting the world know of their generosity and goodness.

You have braggiing rights.Mike and I always help charity.Animals,food bank,homeless,etc.We love doing this. the money I earn here goest to the animal shelter etc.I do not spend the money on me.For them.that is my charity work

Yes, when we can see this kind of help and publish it to the social media, it seems he/she is publishing his good deeds, there's a saying if your right hand helps someone, don't let your left hand knew it.

That definitely IS bragging. I dont care for this either. Being able to help should feel like a reward enough. I guess some people just want thr world to think they are saints.

It really annoyed me. I logged out of facebook after seeing that. If I will post my activities in helping others, then I guess my account would be full.
