Do you "experiment" or try unusual recipes?
Last weekend, my sister gave me lots of green mangoes. I peeled one of them but I cannot take its so acidic taste! I was thinking of peeling all of it then put salt and water to "ferment" it.
I changed the plan when I ran out of condiment for my fish stew; I needed something sour. So I boiled the sliced green mango, and so the dish turned out nice and the best thing, it was organic, no chemical condiment added to the fish stew.

Yes, @ida123, it tasted nice and sour too. Instead of using commercial condiment, it is nice to use natural ingredients.

Fermented green mangoes is a favorite of mine. Ain't salt enough to ferment it?
Anyway, I do experiment with dishes. I usually substitute healthier and more affordable options over the original ingredients of recipes.

Yes, it's fun and our price would be when our family or friends like the way we cooked the food.
