For the past two nights, a mosquito has buzzed and bitten me at night. I try to keep the sheet over my head but then I can't breathe so I have to come up for air. The first night, I misted the room with two types of spray. Then, I went downstairs to wait for it to clear. I saw the pesky thing zoom past me on the steps. I sprayed the rest of the house and went upstairs. Last night was a repeat. This thing is going to live forever. But why is it immortal? It is just a bug.

that would drive me insane. I don't think we have seen any mosquitoes yet.

It is hot, humid and raining a lot here. The skeeters are early this year.

We do not have mosquitoes yet, I hate them, but usually they die almost immediately when I spray.

@akalinus They become more aggressive every year and they also become super mosquitoes that can resist to the old chemicals. They are scary.

These must be super ones from another planet. Why doesn't the spray get rid of them?

The mosquitoes have been bugging me all year long, as I am staying in tropical country. I don't like those mosquito sheet or net too, as I feel like it's like not enough air to come through for me to breathe. Have you tried those electrical bug killer? I used to have one, but spoiled. Now, I am applying mosquito repellent essential oil, I am not sure if it's 100% working, as it is recommended to be applied every two hours, I didn't. I always close the door of my bedroom during evening, so hopefully the mosquitoes don't sneak into my room. If I have found one, I'd ask my husband to catch/kill it.

Maybe I should get one of those bug zappers. I had one in New York. There are many more bugs here.

How do you know it's the same mosquito? It could very well be a different one! lol

I never thought of that. It is just one that I see so I thought it was Super Skeeter who can bite lots of times in one miserable night.

@akalinus do you have any Vicks in the house? I've heard that it repels bugs. If you do have any, I say it's worth a try!

That mosquito can ruin your life for tthree months, which is their average life span. You should put a balck blanket somewhere and wait for the mosquito to lay on it so you can trap it!

Why can't you just cover yourself with the blanket and leave a small space just for the nose to breath ? The mosquito will be able to bite your nose, but, you will feel it before it gets too late. If you can, try to hit the mosquito with a towel if you see it fly in your room. That's what I do to kill them.

Good idea, I will try it. I was trying to knock it down with my hands but that did not work.

It must be a Zika mosquito! You got to kill that bug before it sucks a drop of your blood and leaves a couple of zika viruses underneath your skin!

I thought of that. Now, I have to worry about brain damage which they say happens in people even if they are not pregnant. As if my brain is not corroded enough already.

I think you need mosquito netting.

Actually, I was thinking about that instead of sleeping. I remembered a movie set in Africa and people using netting. But where do you get some at 3 am?
