Surprise! Rabbit Burrow Under Fire Pit

The bonfire is going and my son found out there was a burrow under the fire pit. He managed to save a baby rabbit, but it doesn't look good for the rest of them. I don't know how many have made their home there. I have seen quite a number of adult rabbits in the yard the past couple months, now I know why.
It's a surprise to both of us. We would not intentionally destroy a rabbit burrow. Poor things, I hope more can be saved.
I just checked with him and he said there aren't anymore under there, so he's sure they managed to get out or they're hiding. I hope so.
Thanks for reading.
Image is from Pixabay, looks a lot like the one he saved.

Yes they can. I'm glad we were able to save two of them.

I had a divot in my yard and I mowed over it all the time and didnt think much of it until one day I saw it moving so i picked up the grass piece that was laying over it and there was a tiny nest of bunnies in there. They squeezed in such a small whole there was about 4 of them in there

Aw... they are so cute...pity...I like rabbits, squirrels, dogs, cats, deer, elephants, horses, and fishes (other than sharks, piranhas, whales, and other deadly aquatic beings). My saphy used to like Boa constrictor! Prefer dogs..They can be vegetarians like me.

Maybe they were trying to get warm. I hope they are safe.

Me too. I don't want to think about them suffocating in the fire.

That's only a picture from Pixabay, but yes, he was very cute and cuddly, and my son even named them as they ran for the hills when he got them out from the fire pit.
