I got back from staying with my grandmother this afternoon. I had an absolutely wonderful time. We went through some of my mom's things from her childhood and early teenage years (my mom married at 16, dad was 20, and no, she wasn't pregnant), that my Nana still had. I hope to be able to post a picture of some of them soon.
We went to her local, family grocery store, and the clerks were talking to her with familiarity. Because mom and pop grocery stores are always so friendly, my Nana introduced me as her granddaughter. They asked if I was enjoying my stay, and I said, "Yes, my grandmother is taking me to all the best strip clubs." I'm not sure if she laughed harder or the check out cashiers did!
*To make it clear for people who are appalled, my grandmother would never do that.

I haven't seen my grandmothers of both sides. I wish I have seen them and visited them too. And have a great stay like you had.

It is lovely that you have such a great relationship with your grandmother. I'm sure you both have a great time when you are together.
