II believe that all of us are created unique and with lots of potentials. However, at times there are things that hold us back then. I have three kids who I see have lots of potentials and as much as possible, I do encourage them to enhance it. As a parent and an educator I know that kids have multiple intelligences and we just have to help them discover it and enhance it. How do you tap a kid's potential?

I think only those parents with open minds will see the potential in their children. Many parents are not that wise. They try to force their ideas on their children.

I know what you are saying because I also know some parents like that and I feel sad for the children.

@cherigucchi True, the children will become rebellious and they do not have high self-esteem.

I have no children, but I appreciate parents with an open mind who encourage their children to enhance their potentials.

i do the same as you. I encourage my son to reach his potential by exposing him to different activities. I even chose a school that could bring out the best in him.

That is right. I am also exposing my kids to something I know that will encourage them to hone thier potentials.

I think the first step is actually observing and listening to the children. The kids naturally know no boundaries. It is parents who set up boundaries and in doing so should make sure, the kid is not affected in the negative way.
