Today, our city is experiencing a power outage for the whole day. It started in the morning at 7am and ends in the afternoon at 6pm. No aircon, no electric fan, and the temperature is so hot at around 48 degress celsius. What a day! God is now punishing us for not taking care of our environment. Any thoughts?

I think your electric company is doing some restoration or fixing some damage parts like our electric company here, I hope your power outage will be resolve soon so that you'll not feel hot on this very hot season. And maybe you're right that God punishes us of not taking care of our mother earth and this is the reason why we have crazy weather nowadays, hope He'll forgive us because there are plenty of innocent ones who suffered this hotness.

Yeah, they're fixing some posts and repairing electric lines. I also hope that God will help us solve our problem on climate change. Thanks @ida

We too used to have a 3 hour power cut every day some years back. But now that is all a thing of the past. Unless there is some maintenance work going on, we do not have any power cuts.

48 degrees Celsius does sound terrible and without any relief, that's even worse.

Yeah, it's irritating. Electric company is conducting a routine repair and maintenance of the electric lines. Thanks @DianneN

It could be so hot without those electric fans or air con.Really so hot because of the El Nino phenomenon. Officials said the brownouts were caused by too much demand for electricity and the receding water levels at the dams.

Yeah, but this outage is due to their scheduled repair and maintenance of their lines. Thanks @acelawrites

Sometimes I agree with you that God is "paying us back" for not taking care of the planet. The weather has been on the strange side for the past few years.

I think it's a rotating brownout by NGCP . We are supposed to have that toda , but it was rescheduled on Sunday . It would have been better if it is weekdays because at least at the office it is so cold because of the air conditioner .
