Anyone need some well used cement?

We have a 350 foot long cement driveway, that we love. This is our first driveway that wasn't gravel. However, it has a problem or two.
There is about 50 feet of it that is cracked down near the road and it has to be replaced. Also, when the previous owners had the driveway put in they didn't flare out the sides. We just found out the reason for that was they ran out of cement. Guess they didn't want to pay for another truck load to finish the job properly.
It will make it easier for my husband and our big SUV to be able to turn into the driveway without having to swing into the other lane to do so. They got here at 10 am and proceeded to break a piece of equipment which held them up a few hours. This is a much slower process than we thought it would be.
We assumed they would be pouring cement today, but that sure won't happen. I'm just glad we aren't paying by the hour! Hopefully we will be able to use the driveway by the weekend. We have our car parked at the neighbor's house just in case we need to get out of here.
In the meantime, anyone need any used cement LOL!
PS: Yes, the yard needs mowing, but our mower died and it is in the shop - will be 5 weeks before they get it fixed. We have to borrow the neighbor's tractor to mow very soon.

@JudyEv They are in for the big bucks and the landscapers are their meat and potatoes.

They work on landscapers mowers first, so they fit in the 'regular' people when they aren't busy with the others.

@AbbyGreenhill I can see the logic in that - and the inconvenience!

It should have been cut two days ago LOL, we don't let it get too high we have too much to mow.

@AbbyGreenhill It would be a very challenging jigsaw to try to fit the pieces into an appropriate shape for their next use.

@Asylum My husband asked where they were dumping it - they said there is a big hole that needs to be filled - that's good - if they couldn't find a big hole someplace who knows what they would do with it.

They ran out of cement
Glad it's being done now to make turning in easier! And, glad you're not paying by the hour either. Hopefully by the weekend it'll be done. Lovely drive way you have and all that green grass! Is that your neighbors across the street? More green grass!

Across the road is all pasture land. The guy is out there right now fertilizing. They usually get to bail 4 times during the season. Hay is big bucks around here.

that looks like a lot to mow, I'd be tempted to, well, not, around the house sure and strips on both sides of the driveway, maybe with a decorate fence holding back the 'field' lol

@Jessicalynnt No - my husband is fussy about how he keeps the grass, and I'm glad of that.
