Suffering from sensitive teeth pain

It has been a long time since I suffered from sensitive teeth pain. Last night, it returned with revenge and I am still suffering from the pain. Yesterday was a very hot day, so right after I got in, I took out the watermelon from the fridge. I cut the watermelon and took many slices. The cold watermelon was very comforting to me in this kind of hot day. The pain started after that. I did not dare to open my mouth because the wind would cause unbearable pain. I just hope that this episode of pain will pass over soon.

I am sorry to hear that. I know the teeth pain is very suffering. You really need to go to see the dentist soon and try to fix it before it is too late. You know the dental cost is quite expensive, if the case is complicated, it will be much more expensive. This is why it is better to go to see the dentist when it is not so serious.

No need to go to the dentist for sensitive teeth. It will go off after a few days, though the pain will come back after having cold or hot food or drink.

@scheng1 But if your teeth feels pain, there must be something wrong with it. Waiting for it to be gone is not the best solution.

@youless It will go but I have to avoid hot and cold food for now. Sensitive teeth pain is not the kind of toothache. When you have winter, and you take a deep breath of cold air, your teeth will feel pain with the numbing cold. That is sensitive teeth pain.

I do too! Not too bad but still I flinch when I have ice cream sometimes!

Now I really try everything to get rid of the pain. There is a recommendation to use baking soda to gurgle and rinse. Have you tried this method? It sure makes it better for a few minutes.

I sympathize with your teeth problems. I would suggest staying away from cold and hot foods and drinks, as they seem to activate the nerves and cause intense pain. Good luck with it.

Yes, though I still need my coffee in the morning. I try to drink it after it has cooled down.

@scheng1 It could just be that your teeth are sensitive to temperatures. Hopefully, that's all it is.
