A Place I Would Live......

Would I consider living somewhere that I had never even visited? I think not. It has not always been an easy transition as I've moved from one home to another. The subject for today's challenge is to think of a place I would move to even though I have never visited that place. Today my father and I went on a bus tour to Ripleys Aquarium in Toronto. The bus ride was a pleasant experience. I didn't need to deal with the traffic. Just sit and enjoy the scenery. Visiting the attractions in Toronto is something I have enjoyed. The Skydome (Rogers Center), the CN Tower, The Canadian National Exhibition, the Zoo, the various theatres for live performances provide many opportunities to be entertained. Live in Toronto? I don't think you could pay me enough to make Toronto my home. It was easier to write about a place I have visited but would not want to live. How would you answer the question of a place to live or to visit?

I can name a lot of places I would like to visit. But living elsewhere is more difficult.

The question for the writing challenge was to name a place I would like to live but had never visited. That was inconceivable to me so I changed it to a place I had visited but would not want to live.

There plenty of places I would love to visit, all around the world. It's different to mention a place where I would like to live, I know that I loved Key West (Florida), I feel I could live there.

It is good to tour in Toronto. I was there for a year roughly on two occasions. Being a native of Tamil Nadu, Chennai I was not comfortable with the extreme cold weather. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay. If Indian weather is there in Canada, then I may prefer staying there--I know it is not possible. However we will be visiting in June to stay with our daughter. good day. best wishes

I would love to live on a deserted island with a beautiful sandy beach, but with all the comfort that I have here right now.

sometimes ya jest aint gotta choice but to jest jump'n 'n get'cher feet wet. circumstance don't always dictate that ability to visit first 'n see if'n ya like't. which really didn't answer yer query, lol.

That was an appropriate answer. I could not think of a place I would want to live without visiting first. I'm not overly cautious, but on the other hand my parents, as immigrants made the decision to move to Canada, sight unseen. The pilgrims came over on the mayflower having no rap idea of what would be ion store for them.

@Morleyhunt yepperz, brave pioneers who crossed unknown vast waters to come to lands completely foreign to 'em. i reckon if'n i was a pioneer, i'd think'f such diff'rently. i've jest no desire to move any place that's heavily populated. e'en bein' 'n the outskirts here's quite maddenin'. seems the real estate folks fibbed, told me town'd be movin' to the south - so i bought north. when i first moved here, city limits was 'bout 14 miles, now sadly 'tis 5.

I based two of my moves on what I saw on the day of my job interview. I would have moved for the jobs even if I hadn't seen the places. I was a single mom and needed the work.

I have had to move to places that I have never been before and yes, it is very difficult. If given a choice it is easier to pick. We have the amazing ability to adapt though and we do.

If I felt God was directing my path somewhere specific, then I would go even if I'd never visited that place. That's sort of what happened when I chose to live in CT and NH and a few other places as well. I never visited any of those places ahead of time and chose to move there. I even lived with people I only met moments ago, well before we left the previous destination. So, Yes, I would consider such a move.

I would never choose a city if I had the option. I'd always want a place in the country - but I would want to visit it first.
