What Sounds, Tastes, Scents?

What sounds or tastes make you happy, or sad? What scents?
I heard someone say that the sound of popcorn popping made them feel happy. Can a sound make a person feel happy?
I know when I smell suntan lotion, I picture a beach in my minds eye, hello, happiness. I know when I hear a good song, that it lightens my heart.
I know when I hear a baby or animal cry, it breaks my heart. And when I hear something bad on the news my heart drops.
The scents of cinnamon and melted chocolate, in my home, make me feel comfy. And the taste of delicious food or dessert makes me feel contented.
So, how about you? What sounds, tastes, scents, make you happy or sad?

@DianneN , aw, that is sweet. It was 89.6 F and we were barbecuing that day, a bunch of us ladies, so, I had my hair clipped up, my bangs combed to the side and no make-up, everything wanted to melt off. But thank you for thinking I am still pretty, Dianne. :)

Happy smell, old books:), happy sounds...oddly, any Hebrew word, even random short ones...for some reason those 2 things take me to another place, somewhere "old"...and warm, haha:)

@HebrewGreekStudies , old books do have a calming scent to me :) . Hebrew words...well it is an ancient language, timeless perhaps? :)

Love your selfie, you are quite beautiful you know!! I love the smell of warm apples, can be pie or applesauce, very comforting to me. I love the smell of a baby as well it is so innocent and sweet.

@BelleStarr , thank you kindly :) . Oh, yum apple pie, that is a delicious scent! Aw, yeah when I looked after my friends daughter when she had to go back to work after maternity leave, and bathed and powdered her I also always thought what a lovely scent :)

Hi there Catherine - how come you look like a 20 year old?
I love the sound of the key in the lock as I know it's one of my adult children visiting.
Like you I feel terrible when I read of people being in desperate situations, and I can't do anything to help.

If I hear one of my granddaughter's or kids voices, then I know they are coming to visit When I hear the birds sing that means warmer weather!!!!!!
Other then that it depends on what mood I am in, I like to listen to Native American flutes and drums as well as nature sounds or different types of other music depending on my mood as I said. oh yeah and the words....."We are going to Disney World"

@bluesa Good luck on that! Oh yeah as far as scents. I like to burn oils like Lavender,lemon,peppermint an spearmint.....they are calming. I love the smells of garlic,coffee and tea. As far as taste I love a lot of stuff especially chocolate.

I love your selfie, you are such a pretty lady!. The sound of flowing water brings rest to my soul and the tiny voice of a toddler who is learning to talk gives me joy; the scent brought about by newly cut grasses delights my spirit also the fresh scent of my surroundings after the rain; and the sweet taste of my favorite Philippine mango satisfies me.

I guess I have never really thought about things I use to remind me of things. I have never thought whether any of them make me happy. When I put deodrant and perfume on I feel like a smell much better.
