Thursday Tidbits

Looking for something to write about this morning and came across some interesting bits of wisdom I had written down. They bear no connection to each other but thought they were worth sharing. 1. Just when we learn to take things with a grain of salt, the doctor puts you on a salt-free diet. 2. Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new. 3. Many a spouse worships the ground you walk on--until you track it into the house. Just my contribution for the day. Hope everyone has a good one.

I particularly enjoyed the first one, being someone on a salt-free diet I can totally relate to this!

Yes, that was a good one. I try to avoid salt, although it is in almost everything you buy. But I rarely add it to foods.

@AnneEJ That's what I do, I never use a shaker and try to buy salt-reduced foods when I can. Tonight we had pizza, wings and garlic bread. And the toppings on the pizza are loaded with salt, this is why I try not to have pizza more then once a month.

@Juliaacv I hardly ever eat pizza, but I find it very salty.

It is talking about a husband tracking dirt into the house, and messing up your clean floor. At that moment you do not worship the ground he has walked on

I love your three - No2 has great relevance as I should have kept all my teen clothing for my daughters. The other evening we had a Smart 1950/60 evening at the races and my eldest wore my mom's silver evening dress with a slight A line and she looked magnificent. It is one of the only items I have left from my mom and its clearly a winner.

I wish I had at least kept my sewing patters, as I could use a lot of them right now, the styles are similar
