Whatever Happened to... Bobby Buntrock?

If you ever watched the old black-and-white TV show Hazel, starring Shirley Booth and Don Defore (with Whitney Blake and Bobby Buntrock), you are familiar with little Bobby, the young son of “George and Dorothy Baxter” (Defore and Blake). Harold Baxter was played by Bobby Buntrock. While we rather might expect the adults in that series to have departed the “land of those living,” it may surprise you to know that Bobby Buntrock is also gone. In fact, he lived to be a mere 21 years old. What happened to him? He died April 7, 1974 in an automobile accident in Keystone, South Dakota.
