Before they had Interstates we had to drive on roads in the country and Burma Shave signs would be posted in the farmers fields. They were small red signs with white letters, it was a Popular shaving cream. Some of the signs would say Don't stick your elbow out so far it may go home in another car. Or this one She kissed the hairbrush by mistake she thought it was her husband Jake. Another one was Around the curve lickety-split beautiful car wasn't it. Passing school zone take it slow let our little shavers grow. Can you think of any to add to this?

On the grounds that the signs look like they would take an age to read they should have had one that said: Although I might be entertaining, reading me could be devastating!!

I missed that era, but those are some funny sayings on the sign, and since random and interesting I bet got more attention that many of the boards out there today

I remember the signs but have forgotten what was on them. I loved to read them on the road.
