At my recent Adjudicating session of English Public Speaking for High School learners in the senior section, the topics were as follows: "The way you pronounce your words, matters" "Discrimination makes you stronger" "Death is not final" "Swearing has lost its check value" "Beauty pageants do not degrade woman" The advice we always give to the learners in our summation is - Keep it real, , use appropriate idioms and phrases, quotes, write about things relevant, take into account your audience, use facts, but don't over-fact . Here they are @ison1 What would you choose and why would you choose it?

Uh, those are some tough topics, maybe the one about swearing, it's an easy out to express something.

If I had to public-speak at all, I think I'd choose the first one.

Only one of the 42 students chose that one, and unfortunately she didnt do so well. But she tried.

I'd pick "discrimination makes you stronger" because there is a lot that could be said about it. It sounds like an interesting activity for teens.

I will choose- Discrimination makes you stronger.. This only tells us that what we are? N what we want to be? It tells us that how should we react and how should we pretend in front of others?? It gives us change,it gives us our real personality...
