Jackson Hole, Wyoming is one of my favorite places in the world. We stayed at a campgrounds there for several days, on a 5 ½ week camping trip. We traveled over 7000 miles from Virginia, taking the northern route, all the way to South Dakota. Then we went down through Wyoming and Colorado, and back across the country on a southern route to come back to Virginia. We traveled through 17 states and saw many places of interest.
Jamaica: I’ve taken two trips to Jamaica and had a wonderful time, both trips. Jamaican dollars were worth $7 U.S. when we were there. My son, who went with us had saved some money, about $80 and he had it changed into Jamaican dollars and then threw it all on the bed and sat in the middle of the bed and threw it up in the air. It was over $550. He was 14 years old at the time.
Jet Lag: Something that I’ve had some serious experience with in my day. I have traveled both East to Europe several times, and West to Hawaii and all the way to Japan. Okinawa to be exact, although we stopped in Tokyo. I lived in Okinawa for 18 months. My oldest son was born there.
Jewelry: Of course, jewelry as some of you already know, has been a MAJOR part of my life, having been in the business 38 years. I’m now retired.
Jigsaw Puzzles: I LOVE working jigsaw puzzles. I’ll be heading to North Carolina to visit my oldest son and his wife in June. She and I usually work at least two 1000 piece puzzles while I visit for the week.
Jitterbug: The dance of the 50s. I met my husband on the dance floor and we danced the jitterbug for years and then updated the steps to the Disco beat.
Journals: I have about 50 of them, filled with a lot of my life and other interesting stories about my travels and family. It’s always fun to go back and read about my various adventures and news items from the past 50 years.
July: My twin boys were born in July.
Jack Frost: Hopefully is finally gone from Virginia until next year.
