Detoxification Through Foot Patches

Now, I'm a big believer of alternative medicinal practices including detoxification by using foot patches. Tried one the other day and I must say I was impressed. Of course, I could be wrong, but hey, aren't we wrong at one time or another?!! LOL!!!
Anyway, the foot patches had a eucalyptus scent or at least smelled a lot like eucalyptus and that is already a big plus for me. The scent was relaxing and the patches felt really cool at the soles of each of my foot. I had placed one patch per foot although I really wanted to place two patches per foot. I did this before going to sleep and I even wore socks so the patches will stay in place. Well, even if I didn't wear any socks, I think the patches would still stay in place. The adhesive was really sticky but still felt comfortable. When I woke up in the morning, I felt more energized and refreshed. It seems the patch did work for me. The patches were discolored and damp, my assumption is the toxins caused the discoloration and dampness of the patches.
A couple of things to remember when using patches:
*Make sure to drink lots of water to help flush toxins from your body
*The more area the patches cover, the better it will absorb the toxins from your body
*Leave the patches in place for at least eight hours
So my fellow myLotters, have you used patches as a detoxification method or as an alternative cure for aches and pains? Generally, do you see alternative forms of medicine and healing as legitimate or merely a fad?
Feel free to share your experiences and thoughts!

@hereandthere You just apply it on your face for a clearer skin or to any parts of your body that is aching. I use it when I have problems with my any parts of my body, use it once a week on my face.

Mostly herbs. I threw away the box. It listed what was in the patches. Next time though, I'll take note of it and list it down here.

i've seen them and have been curious about them, but i think they're pricey. i still appreciate your testimonial, though.
if you wake up to pee, should you be careful while walking?
how often do they (the brand) recommend - weekly, monthly?
can anyone use it (ex. age), or are there medical conditions that shouldn't?

Well, I wore socks so the patches will stay glued and wouldn't get wet should I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. They recommend that one does it often. As for medical conditions, one that I remember is that it isn't recommended for pregnant or lactating women. That was it.

I don't think they are pricy. I bought them on ebay and you can order as many as you want. There were many different people selling them so I just looked around for the cheapest. Through the years I have ordered them 3 times and not always from the same place. They were all the same.

I've never done one myself. I know that there is a detoxification bath one can use and it is supposed to draw metals out of your body. I am not sure how you make it, or if there is anything like it in stores. A friend's friend makes them, but I've never had one.

I've heard about detox baths. People usually use epsum salt. Haven't tried it myself but I did an epsum salt detox plan before. I was pleasantly surprised with the result.

I like mud masks, as years ago friends told me it would slow down aging on my face. It works, as people always tell me my face looks young.
