Does anyone knnow anything about this converter? Because I have a M3U file (this is my file, a video I made and saved on my old flash drive, but I am sure it was not M3U format, but a MP4) and of course I can't open it. When I googled the problem, the whole page was about this Axara Audio Converter. and this one site (I think it was about.com) said after downloading, click browse next to "input" but there was absolutely NO "input" only "output" so of course I removed it hoping to find another converter. However, no matter what key words I use, the whole page is about the Axara Audio Converter. So what I need is someone to explain how to use this converter, or another way to convert this video.

I totally forgot what this format was until I read the comment by topffer, who is quite right. You can simply search on the computer for the audio file name.

@topffer I seem to recall creating playlists in Creative Player, which was a composite program supplied with the software along with Soundblaster Live. It was then easy to convert to Notepad and import into Excel.

It was a popular format because Winamp was saving natively a playlist in m3u, and it was easy to edit. I am still using m3u8 playlists, the UTF-8 variant, on my android phone.

@Asylum How do I search for the audio file name on the computer? Or, is this because it might be on my computer when I created it? The reason I ask is I created it on my older computer and saved the file (which I thought was MP4) onto my flash drive.

A m3u file just contains a list of links to media files. Open it with any text editor to see where is stored your video.

Oh, of course it is. I have not encountered this for over a decade and completely forgot what the format is. I used to use this as a way of creating playlists in Microsoft Excel.
