Just did one of those security updates and it messed up Shockwave Flash so that I could not save a photo I had just edited in PicMonkey. Now I will have to start over. I just rebooted and Shockwave Flash is crashing on almost every site, including this one.

What browser are you using? I know when I had problems with Shockwave and PicMonkey it was with my Chrome, and I had to disable something called pepperfish or something like that.

I'm using Chrome, which has Flash built in that conflicts with the experior Flash application and one of them has to be disabled. Chrome says their automatically updates and we should leave it there and disable the other one. I just can never figure out which is which. I've never heard of pepperfish.

That sucks.. I'm not a microsoft user so I don't have this kind of problem. Hope it'll get resolved soon. It could really be annoying.

I'm having trouble with my iMac right now, too, and it needs to go into the shop.

Ouch. I often have a problem with Shockwave Flash crashing but I've never bothered to investigate the cause. I don't do my photo editing online, so it's not really a big problem if I have to refresh a page from time to time. I hope you can get it sorted out, because it sounds like it's a serious problem for you.

Not serious. Just repetitive and annoying. PicMonkey is easier to control than paint.net, so I tend to use it for most things.

@bagarad Well I'm glad you don't find it serious. I sometimes spend a long time editing one photo and I'd hate to lose my work after I'd put a lot of effort into it.

I guess you had spent ages edited the photo. I know Vince sometimes spends an age on a photo then something goes wrong and it disappears.

Fortunately it was simple to redo. Had it been a collage I would have torn my hair out.

We recently had an issue with a critical error with the start menu. Once we deleted Dropbox it was fixed

Microsoft's updates keep putting usernames that I changed eons ago onto the log in screens of my bank and other places.

I dont think it is something related to Shockwave. I would have tried reinstalling Flash Player again. But now that I read on your interactions here the problem is resolved, it is all good. For the record - I do not like MS either.

It makes certain sites work right. It happens because the external program and the one built into the Chrome browser conflict sometimes.
