Elementary Choir Festival

I just got back from taking my elementary choir to the Kanto Plains International Elementary Choir Festival. A lot of the international schools have really good choirs and it was fun to listen to. My choir performed a piece that I composed and the librarian here had written the words to. We had a good time. A less good time was going on the train during rush hour. But that's how we have to go! We had two transfers and making sure all the kids were there at all times is challenging! But I had several great parents and two other teachers with me. We are now back at school feeling like we did a great job (and so did everyone there.) Were you or are you involved in any choirs? They are great for fellowship as well as making music!

I was in my school's choir for a few years. I did enjoy it and then I met my husband and dropped all my activities lol

I used to direct a children's choir at my church about thirty years ago. I really enjoyed it. It's wonderful your choir was able to perform a tune you had composed. It takes talent to compose music. I'm impressed.

No, I have never been involved in any choir, but I can imagine it's a bit of challenge to direct kids.

I can just imagine what a nightmare it might be keeping track of everybody. What was the ratio of child per adult?

We has about four children per adult so it was not bad.

@petatonicsca That's good. I forgot to say how wonderful that you composed some of the music. That must be so satisfying.
