A Sacred Oath

When my husband and I got married we entered into an agreement. We initiated a promise, a pledge, an oath that went beyond the scope of our marriage vows. We created a covenant that was to last for all time and that covenant was this: I could babble at him to my heart's content as long as he could ignore me. 13 years and 6 kids later, our marriage is still strong. The love has blossomed, bloomed, and spread like a kudzu vine. And I owe it all to our great communication skills. What kind of silly agreements have you made in YOUR family...and have they been beneficial in your relationship?

Lol 6 kids!?!?! 13 years?! Wow! I don't know about the babbling, but there hasn't been any ignoring yet...

We're not as fast as our friends who've been married roughly 20 years and have 12 kids....and counting. But we're working on it.

@sulynsi I know. Our plot to take over the world is just moving along soooo slowly. We need to start pumping out some twins. Or triplets.

We have agreed that I die first, for the simple reason I could not live without him, silly and really that's just a joke between my husband and I.

@marguicha Oh, that's sad. I'm sorry for your loss. I've told my husband that we need to die at the same time. That way neither one of us are left alone.

My husband and I agreed than we won't text or ask each other about our whereabouts. It's funny cause we always end up telling each other our whereabouts.

@Genipher nah I don't wanna do that, I used to but I started practicing trusting him more. I realized that if he has something to hide I would find out soon enough from him but so far, my husband's been very trustworthy and I'm proud of him and myself for not stalking him. Lol

This is where a mad stalking skill comes in handy.

My husband used to joke that he only listened to every 6th word, LOL! He's actually very attentive, but don't tell him I said so!
