Have you ever had a black eye??

Okay... let me re-phrase that... Have you ever given yourself a black eye? And yes, it can be done. Two houses back, I managed to tangle my foot around a cord and quite literally went flying across the room only to hit my cheekbone against the leg of a wrought iron chair leg. It's the oddest feeling actually. I could actually feel my cheek begin to swell up. Luckily I had a bag of peas in the freezer and that helped and felt wonderful, but it didn't stop me from getting a black eye... which was nice since we were going out to dinner. Luckily the lights were low and I don't think that anyone noticed!!
