Eww gross, the other day I found the bread that I just bought the day before to be moldy. My husband said it was my fault for not checking it before we bought it which is true I should have double check before I put it in the basket but I didn't check the bottom of my cinnamon bread and that is my fault. So in the morning the other day since we had no plans with soccer being canceled, we went to the store and brought the bread back so we could get good bread that isn't moldy already. It took me a few minutes to find one that didn't have mold on it because they had several loafs that had mold on it already. I guess the store hasn't been checking closely about there bread recently.New bread, that has no mold will be eaten before the end of the week.

Yuck! The only time I really check bread for mold is when it's really close to the sell by date. You really don't expect a store to be that lax on making sure their products are sellable...

That's Walmart for you. Sadly they do have some lazy people that don't check. I didn't check the date either I must have been in a daze that day.

@yukimori We buy tons of stuff from Walmart. Never had moldy fruit from them the kids normally eat it all before it has a chance to mold over. Our meat from them have never gone bad either before we eat them.We buy things in small amounts so that way they don't got bad as quickly.

@ShyBear88 Ah, that explains it! I won't buy fresh food at Walmart simply because I've seen how bad those displays have gotten and how there have been moldy or rotting fruits and veggies in them. It was a lot worse when they started carrying the fresh foods in our stores, but I still don't trust them enough to buy produce or meat there.

Ah gross! The store should given you the bread for free! As you wasted your time and you're helping the store out as you found several moldy ones too! I haven't come across moldy bread in a while.
