Today was the first day in forever that it was nice and that I time to actually spend working on my vegetable garden. First I put the weed fabric down which was a project in itself and then I was able to start planting things. One of my raised beds is always dedicated just to cucumbers, zucchini, and squash. This year I'm doing 2 types of cukes: my usual Straight Eights and the long English version which I've never tried before. The other bed will have several things but for today all I planted were tomatoes. I planted several varieties: Big Boy, Better Boy, Celebrity, San Marzano, Roma, Grape, and Early Girl. Tomorrow I will finish planting the second bed, I will plant the herbs, and I will find a spot for my kiwi berry vine. Stay tuned!

cook with them, freeze them, make sauce with them, give them away, etc.

I could have done more but I wanted to get started on dinner. I will finish it tomorrow. One day won't make a difference.

We have two flowerbeds that our neighbour is using to grow peas. That's about as close to gardening as we get.
