No time-clock to punch at myLot

United States
May 12, 2016 7:52am CST
I never had a job that required using a time-clock. MyLot has no time-clock either and that's one of the benefits of this site. If you want to be on here at 1:00 am or 1:00 pm, or if you want to hang out and comment for 5 hours straight or you only have 10 minutes to spare - it's all good here. Yes, you know you bank will grow the more time you spend here. But, there is nothing that says you have to to be here, you're here because you want to be. We all (most of us) have lives away from the computer. I am a summer person and I will not be on here as much as I have been over the winter. I will be outside and in the pool (when it warms up a little more!). It's OK since there is no time-clock to punch at myLot. Photo: pixabay.com/en/job-work-businessman-time-clock-1257204/

I also never had to use a time-clock and I like this site because I can be here only a few minutes, or hours if I like. Today I am here only for a few minutes.

I had one job with a clock to punch, but the funny thing was, we were often out working in the field and had to write our times in anyways!

We did time sheets, wrote in our times and off to payroll.

@AbbyGreenhill ours are now tied to our phones, although we still sometimes have to add things in manually, but it's all on a shared website

Yes we can each choose however much time we want to spend here. I've been out all day and only just come on here (it's just gone 9.30pm), but there's no guilt about that. I won't be on as much in the summer either as I will be gardening a lot.

It is a good thing, otherwise most female members would be late due to spending 3 hours getting ready.

I am not included in the 'most'....it takes me less time to get ready since I'm not into make-up or dressing to impress.

I have worked in jobs that require time-clock. I like those jobs because those jobs are the ones that pay time and a half overtime! Clocking in ten hours a day does not mean 10 hours of work. We know how to get less done in more time!

@AbbyGreenhill Over here, most office workers work beyond 44 hours. Even if the contract says to work 40 hours a week, most people end up working 10 or more hours. Nobody has the concept that working 35 hours a week is possible.

I was paid for a 35 hour week - never worked an office job more hours than that but if I did I was paid overtime, plus bonuses.

@AbbyGreenhill I am glad I don't punch a time clock, any more I had to stop working, because I got sick with cancer, but now that I am working online, on other web sites, I can come to Mylot when ever, I want to.

I never had to punch a time-clock either. One of the great benefits of MyLot is that you can spend as much or as little time as you like on here.

It is nice to be on at no specific time just whenever you have time. I am on except when I take some day trips or go someplace else but I am generally not on at 6 pm, usually on around 8 in the morning. It is definitely not like you have to punch in on a time clock.
