I keep forgetting my baby sister can see me ranting and raving here

But she's known me all her life, so I guess she's probably used to it.
I know some people prefer being anonymous online to some extent, but I have always just been me...the same guy you'd know in the 'real' world.
I never say anything I am 'afraid' for people that know me to see...I've been a loud cantankerous argumentative old (expletive deleted) for all my life, although the 'old' has only come in to play in the last few years.
Is it a curse?
Could be so.
But I've always felt free to be 'me' no matter where I am. Some people don't like it...I've known a few judges over the years that were a bit surprised at my attitude
but I've never tried to 'dress up' my personality for anyone.
Which, of course, leads to some people disliking me.
But that's okay too.
If people can't handle the real me, well, that is their problem.
G'morning myLot

@JolietJake I hate falseness too, but it's very common.

Yeah it is their problem because you have lot's of people around here who do like you very much! =)
I am also the same person offline and on, no games here-don't have time for all of that.

It is always been a good thing to be the real you.. that being true to yourself.
One doesn't have to dress to do impress just to have friends. It has always been better to gain friends without pretentious..

I seem to always forget Sherri is here until I bump into a discussion she has written.
I know of several myLotters that prefer to not let their family/friends know what they write here, and I suppose they have logical reasons for it, but I've never given a flying (expletive deleted) what people think of me...I'm the same online and offline.

@jndlponti She doesn't reply to most of mine, and I don't reply to most of hers, but we see each other anyway. Since we communicate IRL there isn't much to say to each other here usually.

being that way is easier, it's too much work to remember who one can say what around. I try to remain respectful and never say anything online/inpublic I would be ashamed to say in front of my gram, for the most part.

@JolietJake Yeah, I got to thinking and there are things I might not say in front of gram, but not because I am ashamed or shouldn't be saying them. More so just dont want to get into it with her. So still the same rule, but do swap things up depending on whom I am speaking around

I may edit myself for content depending on whose ears are there, but it's all pretty much the same intent behind the words

As I have no intention of offending anyone I think the only thing I do differently on here is tone things down a bit. In real life I know what I can and can't get away with when communicating with people I know. Essentially, what you get on here is me on my best behaviour. Until I get to know how far I can go with you

@JolietJake Trust you to take it that way.

@JolietJake you can't please everyone. There are a few that I want to give the #1 sign to, but aren't worth the muscles it takes to drop the other 4 fingers.

I've never felt a need to hide anything, and while it does make a few enemies, at least people know what to expect from me

If people can't take the real me they are welcome to turn and go the other way. Now, I can't say that I am a betch all of the time, but I can be sometimes. When that side of me comes out it actually surprises people.
When I start ripping off the words that would make a sailor blush you best run and hide because the betch is loose.

I have shed most of my masks. With age, they have become as heavy to wear as those old woolen blankets of my youth.
