The Saga Continues

My last post including me taking Prince to the vet. I had to leave him because they were going to have to shave him bald to address the issue of the scabs on his body. On the way home the car was still vibrating. When I drove to pick him up, the car was really vibrating and on the way back, it started bouncing so violently that I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out of their sockets and I was going to vomit. Seriously! I barely made it back to town when I thought I'd better go to the place where the front-end alignment was to take place on Friday. I explained what was happening and when they came back and told me that my tires were rotted from the inside and that the back, left tire was about to explode, that explained why the people following me down the highway were staying at least 200 feet back from me. They gave me a price of almost $400 and I told them to replace the super bad tire with my spare and I left. The rest of the drive home was fairly smooth but as soon as I got home, I was calling tire locations for some used tires. I found a place that would do all 4 tires for $155.35; guess what I did! That was pretty scary to realize had that 1 tire exploded, the car would have flipped and both me and Prince would have been injured. No wonder no one tried to pass me on the highway while I was doing only 45 mph in a 70 mph zone; they didn't want to get killed either.

That was pretty expensive of the garage to quote you $400 - glad that you have found somewhere cheaper. I hope Prince is alright.
