I'm sure you'll all probably have seen the picture and heard the story of people putting a bison calf in their SUV. They were at a national park and saw the bison calf and they thought it was cold, so they put it in their SUV and brought it to the park rangers.
Apparently the park rangers had to euthanize the bison calf because the mother didn't want anything to do with it anymore!!
Of course the park has rules that people are only suppose to get so close to the animals in the park. That's understandable, but to euthanize the bison calf...that seems a little extreme!!
I know last summer there was a momma rabbit that abandoned her babies in my cucumber patch and our dog found them. Of course I tried to be a substitute mommy to try and keep them alive, even though it's hard to keep a wild animal (like rabbits) alive especially newborns and they died, but I tried to keep them alive!!
What do you think about them euthanizing this bison calf?
~Peace~

That sounds like laziness on the part of the rangers to me but I'm not one to judge.

I didn't know they killed it! I am outraged at that. I am SURE there is somewhere they could have taken it to be cared for.

Euthanizing this animal is idiotic. They could of found someone to foster it. I don't they really had to kill it. And there are not that many of them left.
