Stretch McGee A sight the home crowd liked to see - basketball with Stretch McGee. Slow as mud his feet would run, but at the basket, Stretch had fun. He stood on legs that were so short they both seemed built for nonsupport. Atop of short legs - really small - Stretch seemed not for basketball. But in his body was one gland that grew his two arms oh so grand. The length of each was at four feet so, scoring points was "easy street." Stretch just let go over the net. In went the ball - two points he'd get. * * * * * * * * * * Well now. I began this session just playing around with my newly downloaded update of the image-editing program, "Paint.net." (Yes, it really has a dot-net as part of its name.) One of its commands in the "Distorts" tab is "Bulge." So, I thought I'd play with that command for a while and see where it might take me. It figured that if you can make something bulge in one direction, you might be able to make it longer in the other direction. So it worked out that way, indeed it did. There I was using bulge to make things longer. What good was that? I could not think of anything to do with such a command other than to write a dumb poem to go with a picture in which the "bulging" was put to work. That's my excuse. What, pray tell, might be your excuse for reading that poem? (Only kidding you...) Image source: Pixabay dot com, Edited by Gus Kilthau

I liked that poem ..... or was it a limerick? ..... oh, I checked out Paint.net and was just a wee bit disappointed they didn't mention Windows 10 on their list of OS's it could be used with, oh well. Done went an bought me a new PC in January and got Windows 10 cuz the only other option was Windows 8, never liked 8. I can't wait to play with the other 2 though. Thanks again for the help.

@rebelann - The newer versions of Paint.net are OK to use with 64-bit systems (like windows 10). I use a 32-bit system and they cannot address memory locations over 4 gigabytes, but the Paint.net versions 4... and over are for later Windows versions, such as W-10. GimPhoto is lots of fun to use, but if you want to do "layering" with pix, Paint.net is a piece of cake. I just put up a post on MyLot for which I made a crude layered image of some flowers using Paint.net. Have fun - Gus Kilthau

@rebelann - Forgot to mention - a "limerick" is a shortie of just 5 lines, the first two rhyming with each other, and the next two also rhyming with each other, and the 5th line rhyming with the first two.

That's a great photo. You just need a bit of imagination and I'm sure you'd find all sorts of uses for the programme. Catchy poem too.

@JudyEv - Ms Judy - Mostly I like Paint.net to brighten and sharpen things up on ordinary photos. It is also great for resizing digital images when that becomes necessary - like keeping image content to 3 megabytes or less for use here on MyLot. The program, "GimPhoto," is another handy image editor with it many image manipulation apps, plus all of the usual stuff, too.

@Ceerios I make my photos below 1Mg on here but maybe I don't need to downsize quite so much.

@JudyEv - Ms Judy - thus far, the largest image I have posted here has been one that contained 2.43 megabytes (MB) of data. When I inquired about it, MyLot people told me, at first, that they had no idea of the maximum image size allowable here, but later informed me that 3.0 megabytes (MB)was the upper limit the program would permit. I was then in the process of testing the upper limit, but, with their ultimate response, I stopped testing. BUTI do know that 2.43 megabytes (MB)of content does work OK.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Well, you may have liked what I did with the image, but I can assure you that Stretch McGee did not like it one little bit. See you around the area, Gus Kilthau
