Sleeping with a CPAP machine

Despite what I initially thought, sleeping with a CPAP machine is really easy. You have a nasal mask which goes over your nose and attaches to a long tube which goes all the way to the actual machine which is sitting on the night stand. The mask is fitted for maximum comfort so you should barely feel it when it is on, especially when you are tired and drowsy, and the tube connecting you to the machine is long enough to allow you to move and toss around a bit so you can have natural movements. Maybe I am a freak, but I slept just fine on my very first night with my CPAP machine. In fact, I've always slept well with it and never really had issues with it at all. Maybe in the past they were a nightmare to use, but I really can't see how today's model and mask can cause problems for people. If you think you have sleep apnea and are afraid of being tested because you don't want to use a CPAP machine, please reconsider. It really isn't bad at all!

Hmm. And I have a terrible time with my CPAP. The first mask I tried just didn't work -- evidently you can't use it if you've broken your nose! Now I have the one that just fits under the nose, but it is certainly not comfortable for me.

I'm sorry that you are struggling with yours. The nasal mask works like a charm for me and I've been sleeping soooo well.

@NJChicaa I really need to be more constant in using it. I and it have a long standing feud.
