Whenever I hear about suicides I wonder what lead them to end it all. It should have been a decision out of total despair. I used to think others had driven them beyond the brink. I just read about an eleven year old boy taking his own life while about to collect his school results. He should have been under considerable stress. I tell my son to take life easy and not to fuss over issues that hardly decide our lives echoing my father’s comforting words “it is not the end of the world’ in times of disappointment. Now many even blame those who decided to call it a day than prolong their misery that they took the easy way out while leaving others in the lurch – sort of cowards. In a way they are blamed either way – while alive and after death. It is indeed an extreme step and one should have lost all hope and support to take that decision. And if they are children they would have been driven up the wall. What are your thoughts about suicides?
