Why Not Make myLot a Full-Time Gig?

Huge sigh. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. My husband always says to me: “If you've been trying something for a long time and not getting the desired results, do something else!” While I admit that his advice is practical I can't bring myself to follow it. - Too many years invested? - Truly believe in what I'm doing? - Know that one day I'll reap the fruits of my labor? Or … Plain old refuse to let him win the argument and admit he's right! Been married close to 40 years and he has a proven track record for giving me good advice. But can't follow his advice this time. What's the “something” he keeps referring to? My affiliate marketing websites and blogs. Been at these home business endeavors since 2007. My attitude toward the projects is Never say die! Can't really explain my reasoning (to him). I just say to myself: “If others can work online and be successful, then so can I.” My work-at-home projects are doable and viable. One day … they will also be very profitable. They're already profitable in that they currently generate sporadic income. But the goal is to get them to be “very profitable”, i.e. generate consistent monthly income. In other words … earn a steady paycheck. What can I say? Sometimes I'm just stubborn hard-headed. Although I prefer to be viewed as “persistent and determined”. Of course, there is an alternative or a backup plan. They say not to put all your apples in one basket. Good advice. Right? But since I'm not following good advice anyway … ~ If I were going to put all my apples in one basket, the “basket” would be myLot. By contrast to my other WAHM efforts, I have not been at this site “a long time” and I am getting the “desired results”. My alternate work plan would be to scrap the websites and blogs and just make the activity at myLot a full-time gig. Why not? They have actually paid me!!

Yesterday I tried a few of the offers. My account was credited immediately. You might try them.

most of my college friends are home based, they mainly blog, some are VA's, and web designers. and theyve been doing it for years, even when we were still studying. its their source of income. so i believe that you can do it too, you'll get there.

My part-time jobs were working in the financial aid office (part of college-work-study) and working as a cashier at a nearby grocery store. Would have been nice to be able to work online when I was at the university. But that was the 70s. We were just learning about computer programming then. The Internet was being developed.

I am not a person who likes to put all apples in one basket, as I think I always have different learning experiences from different sites, and I enjoy differently too. I enjoy working at different sites.

You are going to starve pretty fast if you think that you can do Mylot as a full time job.

LOL. Activity here can easily be turned into a full-time effort. Turning it into a primary income source? Not so easy. Probably impossible. But using myLot to start generating consistent supplemental income? I don't think that idea is too far-fetched. Here's what I don't get. If it can be done at myLot, why weren't other sites successful? Why did they fold up? So many of them start off great, then they lose steam, and finally they bite da dust! (???) Weird!

IF you feel like it will work for you, then good for you! Just make sure that you show TONS of dedication to make it happen. You seem like you do, which is good. Working full time online is a luxury for many people. Even though I have a part-time job, earning money online would be a great way to earn more money on the side. MyLot is an awesome website! You can write whatever you want and how much you want!

MyLot is awesome but not enough earnings are generated from my activity. So I have to keep looking for more income streams.

Yes, they are consistent and rewarding. I would be surprised if the income from here would be enough to do more than provide a supplement. I say if you enjoy your other endeavors keep with it.

Thanks for your advice. I do enjoy the projects but I only started them with hope of being able to help my sons pay the bills since I live with them. It would be a welcomed supplement. I hate not being able to contribute my fair share. I know they love mom and all, but still ... momma ain't never been a freeloader. See where I'm coming from?

You have one heck of a good plan there and you never know it might work out for you and I really hope that it does. You have the same mind set as i do when my husband is all the time telling me that I cant make enough here tor anywhere online to help us out with things. I love to do this but I know it isnt much most of the time. Good luck to you and I hope to hear how it all works out for you in the end!

I think finding a job you don't mind going to either part time or full time is the way to go. Sites like this and Swagbucks are great for extra cash

Im more or less doing the same thing like you, trying affiliate marketing only difference is l started last year. I have seen some good results but along the way, got tired and bored but l still believe affiliate marketing is the way forward for me. Making myLot full time is impossible, then why not fins a job offline?l like myLot but that`s it, im not looking to pay my phone bill from the income here.

Women thoughts are quite different to how men think. It's quite difficult to reach the same point of view. Mylot as a full time job might be an interesting option. But, it depends of each's situation. In my case, I would like to use this web as part time job, as I also write articles which I publish on a spanish website called Artigoo, where you also get paid for. Textbroker (availaible in different languages) is another web that pays por writing aricles. Besides, I am working on a book I am writing and hope to start soon my own blog. So, the time to write here full time is just limited.
