And because its collects big amount of money before owning one bonsai, I can hardly own one. Its so happen that I love bonsai plants. The culturing of it into such artistic form and bend. The more its age the more expensive the plant. I have passion of it so I am learning way of making and to culture one. I have attended some seminars and I guess what I needed now is to go bonsai hunting in the mountains. Can the bonsai be become cheap so that we can all have one good plant? Hope so. photo is mine

It is the time they spent to form it that makes it expensive. When you buy one you only buy the the plant but with the expertise

Good bonsai are expensive because of all the time and effort someone has put into styling them. But it's much more fun to create your own from inexpensive nursery trees or even trees you've dug up from your garden. And of course, as you say, one can always go hunting in the mountains. Just see that you get permission before you dig up a tree on property that doesn't belong to you. I write a blog about my efforts with my own trees.
