Is having Thyroid a problem?

May 25, 2016 2:30am CST
Many people have thyroid these days. It is not a problem. People take thyroxin medicine depending on the prescription of the doctor. Actually thyroid reduced the pace of metabolism in the body. Many people having thyroid feel fatigue, tired. It takes more time to digest food than other people. There are many yogas also which combat thyroid.

Thanks Avinashji, many people take ayurveda medicines. But hypothyroid is a permanent disorder. The dose of thyroxine medicines should be taken throughout life.

I just wanna ask. Are you talking about Hypothyroidism , hyperthyroidism or what thyroid disorder in particular? I know somebody who has hypothyroidism. Her body metabolism slowed down, she feels she always has less energy and she becomes fat.

@sathviksouvik .. really true.. those who have this disorder really increase in weight, that is because their metabolism slows down.

@magallon Yes Cristy, those who have it, they take medicines, unless the flow of thyroxine in the body is regulated the metobolism will get slower.

I'm one of these many people. I didn't know yoga could help with hypothyroidism.

Thanks Lola, there are many asans or postures of yoga that are available online which if done reduces hypothryroidism.
