I posted this virus problem and there has been a lot of talk about it the last couple of days. I was upset and knew I could not get anything done with it until after the three-day holiday. It seized Edge browser and emitted a high pitch beeping sound constantly.
Someone suggested I do a system restore but I did not remember how to do it. My son came home and set it back to a few days before this mess happened. The virus is gone.
If this happens to you, try that first.

Thanks for the tip. I hate it that we are constantly having to protect ourselves from these types of things.

@DaddyEvil Hmm, always suspected it was you. Is it diabolical?

I looked, Jo Ann, and that is not what Microsoft wants you to do when you encounter this malware. The geeks from Microsoft want you to follow complicated instructions to rid your pc of this malware.... I won't swear to it, but to me, it looks like Microsoft is protecting this for some reason. They want you to go into the folder for Edge and shift it somewhere... IDK where that folder is or what it is for, though....
Maybe I am misunderstanding their directions? That is possible, I guess.
I would suggest people treat it just like your son did, myself! SMH!

I am glad you got rid of it. That remedy is a good thing to remember.

Don't say things like that!
At least not until after I release my newest creation!

I've been referred to as white trash, but never garbage before!
Do you mind?
