Going Over Our Data Limit

My boyfriend decided to enroll me in his cellphone plan. He bought a newer iPhone model months ago and I inherited his old, which I do not mind at all. I am not that particular about cellphone models. Anyway, we are happy with how it turned out but since I am always checking emails and social media platforms in my cellphone, we are always going over our data. We decided to upgrade in our plan. It worked for a while. Until today, we received a text message that we are on the verge of exceeding our data limit. He blames me for it, which, truth be told, it is indeed my fault. I offered many times to share with the cost, but he wouldn’t take my money for it. He said he already got the payment set-up through his bank and if I want to help out, I should just be conscious of my internet usage.
I guess he has a point. And because of this, I am feeling guiltier. I guess I should limit my browsing using my phone’s data, and just do it when I am connected to a wifi.

I already take care of our groceries. Whenever we go out on dates, we do not have to talk about who's getting what. We never argued about money, but he is right in pointing out that while we have enough between us, that is no reason for me to incur unneccessary expenses. I agree with him when he said that he would rather save or spend the money on us than give it to the telecom companies.

I have 10gb of data shared among 4 phones. I use the most, but one day the gb increased and I asked my dad (since it showed his phone was using most). He said he watched YouTube. If you watch movies or like YouTube on LTE/Internet, it uses up a lot! I also monitor everyones usage by checking the data or logging into the account.

That's the reason why I used my pocket wifi, instead of using data.
