The squealer is gone. . .

A few days ago hubby was leaving in his little car. He got less than three miles down the road and threw an alternator belt.
He had the replacement on hand, but has had a difficult time to replace it. He finally succeeded.
Absolutely for years this car has had an embarrassing squeal when he would first start it. I HATED it.
Hubby started up the Capri and it did not squeal at all. The squealer is gone.

He says it has been the belt all along but it lasted longer without breaking than he expected.

Glad to hear the squeal is gone. Having vehicle troubles can be a pain.

Like they would listen, right? Belts of all kinds can cause squeaks.

Me too as the noise was both annoying and embarrasing.

I hate noises like that coming from my vehicle. Usually means something is wrong or is going to go wrong. Right now we are waiting for our mechanic to get a new front wheel bearing for us. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. It is getting really loud and the last thing I want is for it to break down before it's replaced.

It is amazing isn't it how one little thing can fix an old problem.

I know what you mean, it is quite annoying to hear the squeal. Glad he got it fixed.
