Universal health care

I know the UK offers universal health care but in the US we do not. I wish we did and it does cost us a little bit extra in tax money but not by much at all. This gives everyone health insurances because we all know doctors won't see you these days unless you have coverage but not all people can afford it or qualify for government assistance to get health care.
It's a thought ans it would need some work for course.

@JohnRoberts It sounds a lot like what goes on in Canada with their public health system. People can wait 6 to 8 weeks to see a doctor if they have a cold or the flu. Thousands of Canadians come south for health care every year, especially the more well-to-do.

I have known some less privileged Brits and the NHS means long wait times for appointments and less care. I heard a stat on TV that UK women suffer more cancer fatalities than the US because of those long treatment times and decisions not to provide real care in some cases. People are blinded into thinking a NHS system in the US means immediate free anytime you want healthcare and all problems solved. You get what you pay for and that is a reality.

In deed it should be looked at and talk about more. It would have to be settle on which would be better for us. In the long run with coast universal care does save us the most bang fro buck but there is more to it of course.
