Suntan just washed right off.

Did my best today to go inside during the hottest sunniest part of the day. I usually get a sunburn working in the garden this time of year and I'm trying to be careful. By the end of the day I was a lot darker than at the beginning. Scrubbed up at the laundry tub outside with absolutely frigid well water before calling it a day. All that wonderful tan just washed right off. Darn! It was all just dirt after all. I'm just as sickly white as I was all winter.

I was spotted the other day when my son and I cleaned off my dock.. I gave him a branch that was hanging in the muck so I could trim it and as I bent over the cut, the branch slipped and I got mucky spots on my right side.

I got really dirty. When I picked up Brandon at work, I told them I wasn't sure I'd get all the dirt off in time for my shift later today.

@koopharper Unless the dirt has something unnatural in it, it usually washes off pretty easily.

@Carmelanirel2 Our reddish dirt comes off skin easily enough. I doesn't come out of clothing so well. Very high iron content.

Oh I bet the water was refreshing. I do not garden quite so hard as you. But there are a few of us sharing the community garden.

It was still warm outside, so yes it was refreshing. If I'd waited though, the temperature dropped and it wouldn't have been much fun.

The more you go outside the more you will see a difference.

I know. I actually tan decently given enough time in the sun.

That I am. Trying to be here a little more consistently than I have for the first part of the year. Haven't seen you in a long time. Always great to reconnect.

Boys are hoping to find better employment soon. We had a change of managers and they've had their hours cut to next to nothing. Frustrating but it has been worse for others. All of our Filipino employees quit and found other work because of the same management change. Brandon has a bit of a broken heart. His sweetheart just wants to be friends. Otherwise they're doing well.

I burnt my shoulders last week when I planted my veggies. Everything else is pasty white. I don't tan very easily, but when I do it hangs on.

No burn yet. Granted we're not seeing much sun right recently either.
