Did You Get Your Free Donut Today?

Today was National Donut Day. Both Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme participated. Krispy Kreme gave out a free donut to each customer. Dunkin Donuts did the same thing, but you had to buy something to get the free donut. I bought a coffee at Dunkin Donuts, got a free chocolate donut, and then drove to Krispy Kreme and got a free glazed donut! And then spent an extra hour in the gym this evening to burn off all those extra calories from eating two donuts this morning! LOL

@moffittjc I didn't know about it until your post or I would have gone out and gotten one. My son went out and got something to eat yesterday morning and came home with a box of donuts.

Yay! Good for you! I love KK. Almost too much...it's on the way to work, and I stop by there way too often to get a donut! You know it's bad when the staff inside the store know you by name! lol

@carebear29 I had a co-worker give me a coupon this morning for a free box of KK donuts. I left it sitting on my desk at work by accident. I'm kicking myself, because I would have loved to use the coupon tomorrow morning to get donuts for me and the fam!

I probably consumed more calories in one donut than I would normally in an entire day from eating regular/healthy food! I would have to exercise an hour extra each day for a week just to burn off those calories!

On Friday I had a co-worker give me one of those coupons for "buy a dozen, get a dozen." I'm saving it for my next big early morning staff meeting so I can feed my staff and keep them happy!
And I don't know how I always get so lucky, but every morning on my way to work I pass a KK, and conveniently the hot and fresh sign is always lit! You know you can't drive by a KK when the sign is lit! lol

Free is good. Donut's are better. Free donuts are the best! lol When you come visit I will take you to the Dunkin Donuts store and the Krispy Kreme store and let you eat all the donuts your heart desires!

We don't celebrate that in the UK. I think I had a dunkin donut once when I was in the USA. As for Krispy Kremes you are welcome to my share I do not like them at all.It costs around $1.80 for one Krispy Kreme donut in the UK. What a ridiculous price for something so revolting!

There was another local donut shop near my house that was offering a BOGO deal on donuts, but I never got a chance to stop by their store. I definitely would've gotten diabetes from eating so many donuts had I stopped at a third location! lol
