Bracing for Tropical Storm Colin

The hurricane season is heating up early this year. We are waiting for TS Colin. I have the TV on for coverage throughout the day. It is our third named storm. Two of them happened before the season started. Praying that it will go through quickly and not cause too much of an emergency. People are out surfing, an unwise decision but the main part of the storm is not here yet. There will be heavy rain, high winds, and possible electrical outages. Tornados are predicted. Many roads are barricaded already. Praying that everyone is safe.

I hope this storm fizzles out and all are safe. There are always nuts that risk their lives and others during storms.

They are cancelling flights at the Tampa airport. And there is a reporter on the beach. Hey, look at me. The storm should get much worse in the next hour or two.

@DianneN Where are you? The condo is probably safe. They seem to strong enough to withstand Florida weather. I am in Pasco County. The Pasco Emergency team is on TV right now. Yipee! They said the conditions have changed and we must be at home by 3 pm today. They said winds will be 40-50 miles an hour. Sandbag operations are in force.

They are announcing that schools are sending kids home early. Can't get rid of it fast enough.

Nothing much is happening where I live. It rained hard a couple of times but each time it was just a few minutes. There is not much wind but I thought I heard it howling earlier.

Yes, and some fizzle out and aren't much of anything. They have cancelled programming on TV to cover this event so they must think it is a serious thing.
