The Ferguson Burger Bar opened the day before Michael Brown was shot and killed by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson Missouri. For those of you who don't know, that sparked months of protests and nights of riots in the town which is a suburb of St. Louis. The Burger Bar was one of the few places that remained standing through the riots and wasn't damaged along the strip of West Florissant which was worst hit during the looting and burning of businesses. They did a lot of good around the holidays that year - collecting clothing for children and teens in need. This weekend the Ferguson Burger Bar announced it was closing and is for sale. Not only is a great place to eat gone, but a great community service in my community is now gone.

That is very sad and I may offend someone if I say what I really think about the whole issue. So, I will keep quiet.
