Do you know how O'Hare airport in Chicago came to be named. Butch O'Hare was the first Naval Aviator to receive the Medal of Honor for his bravery in battle. Butch was also the son of Eward O'Hare also called Easy Eddie who was a lawyer for the mob during the Capone days and he decided he wanted to make things right and testified against the mob. He did this because he wanted his son to know he was still a good person. Easy Eddie was gunned down one day and in his pocket he had a picture of his son, a rosary and a medallion.

Is it Metal of Honor? Or Medal of Honor? I dunno but the first one sounds cool.

I did not know the story behind the name. These days, I am surprised the airport name hasn't been changed to O'Hare Airport as presented by (fill in corporate sponsor name).

@JohnRoberts I thought it to be very intersting. I imagine one of these days the name will be presented with a corporate sponsor name maybe even more than one.

@Marcyaz I know who Alphonse Capote was and many other gangsters from the prohibition era, it is the two people named O'hare that I have not heard of.

@Asylum You have never heard of scarface Capone? He is the one that the FBI was always trying to get. Have you heard the name Elliot Ness, if so it was during his time.

What a life they had. Didn't know this. It's interesting to know these people were real and not just stories in a movie.
