My big task for tonight

After a busy start to the week, I finally have some time to myself. My task for tonight is to hot glue a screen onto the frame of a KLH 24 vintage loudspeaker that was given to me. It's a single (called an "orphan" in the audiophile community), and would make a great extension or office speaker.
I spray painted the screen frame a matte black (I don't have to do so thoroughly--I just don't want it to be seen through the cloth), and am firing up the hot glue gun as I type. Once the screen is attached to the frame, I'll do a post with a picture of the completed loudspeaker.
This wasn't an easy restore. I had to bypass a broken capacitor in the crossover network to get the tweeter to work. I have a picture of the new capaicitor after I soldered it in and will attach that to a separate post as well.

I am sure the finished product will look great as usual.

Wish I could also do that. Fixing broken things. There's a lot of them lying around the house. I can't get my hands on them afraid I'd do more harm than good.

But it's not impossible, right? If your expert on this, you can definitely do it and finish it.

It sounds like this was a more challenging restoration job than some of the others. I think you find the work relaxing, though, so maybe the challenge is refreshing.

I think the finished product must be doing nicely to the expectation.
