Have you ever had a spectacular failure? Things didn't just go wrong, but tremendously wrong. For example, you try to unplug your sink and end up watching a torrent of water shooting out of your faucet with no realistic chance to stop. Another example, your car won't start. You kick the car, call it dirty names, and plead with the car to start running again. In return, the car just smirks and conks completely out.
